At John Ball we aim for every child to be engaged and excited by learning, to become an effective learner and to begin to understand how they can best learn, to achieve and thrive. Our Assessment for Learning Policy sets out clear expectations, provides a standard approach, a minimum entitlement for every child and can be easily monitored ensuring equal opportunity for all our children.

We believe passionately in the inclusion of all our children and the importance of meeting their needs, including providing appropriate challenge. At John Ball we support children to overcome any barriers to their learning and wider school experience.  Details of our approach are set out in our SEND Policy.
